Commonwealth Games - Athletes village accident injures three
Three Ugandan officials, including their chef de mission, spent a night in hospital after an accident during a security check at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

"The car carrying Uganda officials met with an accident at the village gate barrier," Commonwealth Games Federation president Michael Fennell said.
"The security barrier was raised unexpectedly which caused damage and injuries to the officials
"We regret the incident and it's being investigated."
Games organising committee secretary general Lalit Bhanot said the officials were first taken to the polyclinic inside the Games Village and then to a city hospital.
Tumwine and one of his aides needed stitches, but the three were released.
"I am shocked and surprised. But I am fine now," Tumwine said. "I am going to raise the issue at the chef de missions meeting tomorrow."
The Delhi Games endured a chaotic run up to the event where corruption, shoddy construction, health and security issues plagued organisers
